Bios for Wendy Brodie & Joyce Jue

Wendy Brodie, husband Bob Bussinger, and Joyce Jue will be featured aboard the Silver Shadow next April 17-27, from Bangkok to Cambodia, Ho Chi Minh City, Kuala Lumpur and ending in Singapore.

Connoisseurs are invited to savor the delights of nature’s exquisite gifts on Silversea’s exclusive Culinary & Wine Series Cruise with enriching lectures, private cooking demonstrations on the new Viking Range Culinary Theater system,  private recipe tastings paired with vintage wines from around the world, plus optional guided excursions to outdoor markets and landmarks, hosted by local culinary professionals Wendy Brodie (Carmel, born in SF) and Joyce Jue (SF native).

Wendy Brodie, a San Francisco native now living in Carmel, is an acclaimed chef, artist and television personality. Her artful cooking style has been showcased with celebrity chefs as Julia Child, Jacques Pepin, Roy Yamaguchi, Paul Prudhomme and Martha Stewart. Her TV program, “Art of Food” is broadcast across the country. Wendy has written food columns, lectured, demonstrated cooking and table top designs, and developed menus at prestigious world class resorts and 5-star hotels in the USA, Europe and Hong Kong. Her mother, a professional model, was born in Shanghai, China. Her father, a retired artist who was imbedded with the troops in World War II and the Korean War, sketched on the front lines. Walter Cronkite wrote the forward on some of his books.

Wendy will be sharing her artistic approach to cooking and table presentations aboard the Shadow, with another familiar San Francisco culinary professional, Joyce Jue.

Joyce Jue, a native San Franciscan, an internationally recognized culinary professional, award winning cookbook author & popular lecturer, will share family recipes & demonstrate savory Asian delicacies aboard ship staged on the new Viking Range Theatre Culinary system.

Joyce, a member of Les Dames d’Escoffier and IACP, has contributed to a variety of prominent publications and magazines as Food & Wine, appeared on television Food Network, Yan Can Cook and Evening Magazine, taught at the James Beard House in NY & the Smithsonian in DC, and traveled the world developing her creative style. 

Besides authoring cookbooks, she is a food consultant fore Williams Sonoma, Beringer Winery, California Milk Advisory, California Beef Council, California Farmed Striped Bass . . .
